Come tomorrow, Kyle and I will have official orders to our very first Duty Station! After months of separation and almost unbearable longing to be with each other, we will finally know the location on this globe that will be our first official military home.  We have a feeling it will be stateside but it could be anywhere!  How exciting! Four Letters

When I woke my husband’s voice was still in my head. Hearing him speak to me on the phone yesterday with such enthusiasm, excitement, and fatigue was so reassuring - he was pursuing his dream and was passionate about what our future would be like once he was done with Basic Training, and he was working hard to provide for me. Hearing the increased confidence in h ...

Kyle Called!

My phone was vibrating violently against the granite counter-top. I re-entered the kitchen area, confused as to why my phone wasn’t ringing but only vibrating. “Oh crap”, was my first thought because I realized that I had silenced my phone while I was playing solitaire on it earlier since it makes this annoying clicking sound whenever I make a move. I forgot to t ...
